There is something magical about doing a "day after" session, especially when it’s in Glacier National Park. All of the wedding day jitters are gone, you are officially married, and the day is spent adventuring in one of the most spectacular places on earth!
Jessica and Carmen‘s day after session was filled with adventure, love, beauty and a little bit of crazy – be sure to see the last part of this blog.
We decided to start the session at roughly 4 o’clock on July 7, 2019. At this time of year the sun doesn’t even set until about 10:15 PM. We wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to explore the park and end up at Logan Pass. We began our session on the rocky shores of beautiful Lake McDonald. The sky was blue, the mountains were towering behind us, and the two of them were so excited to be in their favorite place in the world, Glacier National Park.
We continued up the Going to the Sun Road until we came across one of my absolute favorite locations to take photos. Today was no different, the mountains were amazing and the sun squeezed some of its rays through the clouds right above Heavens peak- there’s not much I can say that these photos didn’t capture. While I was looking through the lens for these photos I just kept saying you guys are the people in the magazine you’ve always seen - you are not going to believe your eyes!!!!
It was dreamy!
We continued up the Going to the Sun Road to Logan Pass as the Sun began to set. I’m just gonna put these images right here and let these photos sink in.

After finishing the shoot, we headed back down the Going to the Sun Road. Jessica had a vision that she was going to jump off of the Belton Bridge at the end of the day. It was getting kind of late and she and Carmen began to question the decision to jump. But we decided to go to the bridge and make the decision upon arrival. Once we got there they debated whether or not to jump but Jessica was determined to fulfill this part of her vision for the day. As the sun set over the mountains surrounding the river, the two of them climbed over the rails and ended the session by jumping into the Flathead River off of Belton Bridge. It was the most spectacular end to a day after session I’ve ever seen. What a way to jump into your first day of marriage. May your life be filled with love, happiness, and of course adventure. Congratulations Jess and Carmen!
