Winter weddings in Montana are especially magical. The mountain scenery, the cool crisp air with sparkles of snow crystals and the snow covered trees create a true winter wonderland. Alex and Jessica decided to get married at a lovely three story home in Ptarmigan Village near Whitefish Mountain Resort on December 27, 2018. The wedding was an intimate affair with a total of 14 guests. The two of them are currently serving in the military and are stationed in Georgia. They spent the week in Whitefish enjoying all of the adventures Montana has to offer.
I arrived at the house at 1 pm. Jessica was prepping downstairs while everyone else was gathered upstairs. We decided to do most of the photos before the ceremony and to do a 'first look' outside. Jessica looked stunning! You could feel the love when they saw each other for the first time that day, reminding them of the feelings they had on their first date.
Their love story is certainly a 'sweet' one.....
For their first date, Alex had asked Jessica out for ice cream. She said yes to the date....He believed she said yes because of his charm in their pre-date conversations, however he wouldn't blame her if it was for the free ice cream. Who would turn down free ice cream? They ordered their ice cream and ate it in his truck. Alex had ordered a small shake, as he didn't want to expose his love for ice cream so early in this potential relationship. However, deep down he wanted the large! As they ate their ice cream, the conversation flowed easily and was full of smiles and laughter. It was very natural. Then as it often happens on a first date, there came a moment of awkward silence. Just then, Jessica leaned over and whispered in Alex's ear the sweetest words he had ever heard 'do you want to get more ice cream?' At that very moment, he knew he had found his soulmate!
